INSTRUCTION: In order to use this KU Leuven Public Administration Reference Architecture as the basis of the Enterprise Architecture of the [Focal Public Administration], this template can be copied for each [Value stream] that the organisation wants to document. To do this: - Create a new Value Stream view as a "new Archimate view" by selecting the PAAF Value Stream views folder in the Views folder, right click -> New -> Archimate view - Rename the "New Archimate view" as "{Yourname] Value Stream view - Select the [Value stream] grouping from this template - Copy it (ctlc-C). - Paste it AS COPY in the new Value Stream view (SHIFT-ctrl-V). - All elements in the value stream grouping will now appear with the postfix (copy). - Rename them as you see fit, removing the (copy) postfix for the groupings and choosing appropriate names for the elements in your value stream view. - Note that each subview contains some documentation on the elements that belong in it. - For working with the elements, there may be different alternatives: - Sometimes, just the name and the documentation properties have to be changed. The grouping headings will make sure that the type of the element will still be clear to everyone; - Sometimes, the suggested element has to be copied several times because there is more than on instance needed; - Sometimes, the suggested element can just be deleted (shift-delete, delete from model) and replaced by an element that already exists elsewhere in the model (like Stakeholders, or strategic Goals, or Course of actions).
