This archimate model contains the "B2B intra-community transactions e-invoicing reporting" solution design that is under development as part of a planned support intervention from the European Commission to the EU Member States in the context of the "VAT in the Digital Age" (ViDA) legislation package that was adopted on 11 March 2025 and published on 25 March 2025. This model is partly based upon the ArchiMate model of the European Interoperability Reference Architecture (EIRA). The EIRA has been developed in the context of Action of the Interoperability Solutions for European Public Administrations (ISA) Programme. The EIRA is a reference architecture focused on the interoperability of digital public services. It is composed of the most important architecture building blocks needed to promote cross-border and cross-sector interactions between public administrations. It is based on the Service Oriented Architecture style and uses ArchiMate as a modelling notation. The EIRA implements the New European Interoperability Framework (EIF) .
