This B2B intra-community transactions e-invoicing reporting partial model aims to support Member States in implementing the modifications required by the VAT in the Digital age (VIDA) initiative that is related to e-invoicing and Digital Reporting Requirements (DRR). The Solution Architecture Template (SAT) developed during the Fiscalis FPG 042 project ensures that the national tax administrations systems are interoperable with the VAT Information Exchange System (VIES) owned by the European Commission. This model is aimed at supporting the implementation from a legal, organisational, semantic, and technical (application and infrastructure) perspective. The model is based upon the European Interoperability Framework (EIF) and the European Interoperability Reference Architecture (EIRA).

This model is partly based upon the ArchiMate model of the European Interoperability Reference Architecture (EIRA). The EIRA has been developed in the context of Action of the Interoperability Solutions for European Public Administrations (ISA) Programme. The EIRA is a reference architecture focused on the interoperability of digital public services. It is composed of the most important architecture building blocks needed to promote cross-border and cross-sector interactions between public administrations. It is based on the Service Oriented Architecture style and uses ArchiMate as a modelling notation. The EIRA implements the New European Interoperability Framework (EIF) .
